MATOD Plus is a comprehensive, practical education program designed to support clinicians working with opioids, opioid dependence, and addiction-related presentations in real-world settings.
Led by Addiction Medicine Specialist Dr Ferghal Armstrong, this program brings together four focused courses covering opioid stewardship, opioid agonist therapy, long-acting injectable buprenorphine (LAIB), and the clinical boundaries required to practise safely and sustainably.
Rather than theory alone, MATOD Plus focuses on what clinicians actually need: prescribing risks, decision-making in complex cases, managing legacy patients, navigating SafeScript, handling difficult conversations, and maintaining therapeutic boundaries — all grounded in everyday clinical realities.
